MVP is pleased to announce LaceShionna N. Cline, an associate in our St. Louis office, was elected to represent the City of St. Louis on the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section (YLS) Council.
YLS is a section of the Missouri Bar that oversees new and recently admitted Missouri lawyers, enhancing the professional growth and public service of lawyers 35 and under and/or who have been practicing for five years or less.
“I’m excited about this opportunity because it’s a great way for me to not only give back to my community through public service, but to also give back to my profession,” Cline said. “I’m looking forward to paying forward all of the wisdom I’ve obtained from various attorneys over the years and to help young lawyers navigate the profession.”
Earlier this year, Cline was awarded the Karl Blanchard, Jr. Outstanding Student Award by the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers (MODL) Trial Academy, given to a student who went above the standards for participation in the Trial Academy as judged by MODL faculty members.
Prior to joining MVP, Ms. Cline served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in the Circuit Attorney’s Office in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s office in Kansas City, Missouri, where she tried multiple jury trials.
