Jackson D. WagnerJackson Wagner specializes in representing the interests of employers’ and workers’ compensation carriers in various workers’ compensation matters in Kansas. Jackson counsels employers and insurance carriers on the workers’ compensation process, including compliance with statutory requirements, effective claims handling, and navigating costly claims. He also conducts research and drafts legal memoranda and briefs on complex legal issues.
Before joining McAnany, Van Cleave, and Phillips, Jackson obtained his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with highest distinction. Jackson obtained his J.D. from the Washburn University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Jackson refined his advocacy skills by participating in the Washburn Law Journal. During his second year, the Journal selected Jackson’s Note for publication. He also served as the Executive Editor of the Journal during his third year. In this role, Jackson was in charge of the Journal’s student scholarship, which allowed him the opportunity to hone his leadership skills and build valuable relationships with his peers.
Jackson currently lives in Overland Park, Kansas and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Jordan, and his friends. He is a dedicated sports fan and cheers for Jayhawks, Chiefs, and Royals. Jackson also enjoys other hobbies such as golfing, hiking, and hunting.
