Michael D. Mayes
Michael Mayes is a member of MVP Law's workers' compensation defense practice group and has over 34 years of experience, primarily in workers' compensation and civil litigation defense. Mike serves clients throughout Missouri and is based out of the Springfield, Missouri office.Having handled both workers’ compensation and civil litigation defense, Mike has developed the best of both disciplines. Mike has the medical knowledge learned from workers’ compensation and the long view aimed towards developing a story or theme for trial. While Mike leverages this approach to get many of his cases settled, he is always happy to be in the courtroom and undergo trial when necessary.
Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids, in his free time. While only his youngest son still lives at home, he also has two energetic grandson’s that keep him on his toes. Mike is active in teaching kindergarten Sunday School and coaches his youngest son’s baseball teams.
