Robert J. HoevenRobert Hoeven is an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office representing employers and insurers in workers’ compensation cases. Mr. Hoeven joined the MVP team full time in October 2019 after graduation and passing the Missouri bar exam.
Robert graduated from Baker University in 2016 with a degree in Business Management. While studying business, Robert was a member of the Baker University Men’s Soccer Team, which he helped captain to a top-ten national finish. After graduating from Baker, Robert attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 2019. While in law school he served as a staff member on both The Urban Lawyer and the UMKC Law Review. The UMKC Law Review selected and published Robert’s student comment over the Kansas school finance dilemma in 2019. While in school, Robert earned the CALI Award for Excellence in Criminal Procedure and received the First Annual Koger Scholarship for his work in the areas of bankruptcy and debtor-creditor rights.
Robert was raised in the Kansas City area and currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas. He enjoys spending time outdoors, being around friends and family, and playing recreational sports. Robert is an avid sports fan and supports the Baker Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, Sporting Kansas City, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
