Amber D. Cameron

Before joining MVP Law, Amber was a partner at a mid-sized defense firm in the St. Louis metro area, representing employers and insurers in complex workers’ compensation matters throughout Illinois and Missouri for over a decade. She has defended thousands of workers’ compensation cases and argued dozens of appeals before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and the Illinois Appellate Court. Prior to entering private practice, Amber served as a staff attorney for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, where she assisted Commissioners in deciding claims on appeal and drafted hundreds of opinions on review and remand — experience that gave her deep, practical insight into Illinois workers’ compensation law.

In addition to her practice, Amber is committed to advancing the workers’ compensation profession through education and thought leadership. She regularly presents on developments in workers’ compensation law and best practices in claims handling for employers, claims professionals, and fellow attorneys. She serves as the Workers’ Compensation Report author for the Illinois Defense Counsel Quarterly and is an active member of the Illinois Defense Counsel Workers’ Compensation Committee.

Outside of the office, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and their two sons. She loves planning the family’s next adventure and experiencing unique history, food, and traditions of the places they visit. Amber and her boys also regularly volunteer at the Metro East Humane Society where they first met and adopted their dogs, Trudy and Frankie.
