Brian M. Israel
Brian Israel has been practicing law since 2016. Prior to joining the team at MVP Law, Brian was both a prosecutor and a public defender. Having gained courtroom experience in criminal law, Brian joined MVP in 2021 and is a member of the civil litigation & insurance defense group.In addition to general liability matters, Brian handles trucking and commercial automobile liability defense for regional, national, and international logistics, transportation and delivery companies. Brian is also involved with retail liability, including the defense of restaurants, hotels and retailers for premises liability and wrongful death claims. He defends professional liability matters including the defense of nursing homes. Brian is proud to consistently be named as a “Rising Star” by Kansas and Missouri Super Lawyers, since 2022.
Brian is engaged in various community and professional activities and organizations. Recently, Brian has served as an adjunct professor of litigation for Kansas City, Kansas Community College. Presently, Brian is assisting with an undergraduate institution’s research and law study related to verdicts in civil litigation.
Brian serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for his church. Brian was raised in Leawood, Kansas and is married
to his lovely wife, Caitlin, has two dogs, Neville Longbottom and Bentley Rufus, as well as one daughter who is the apple of his eye.
Brian’s hobbies include cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, building Lego, and cooking (with a distinct emphasis on smoking meats).
