George D. Halper

George Halper is a shareholder in McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips and represents businesses, professionals and individuals. He has represented clients in a broad range of legal matters, both complex and routine.

George’s creditors’ rights practice includes representing banks and other financial institutions and creditors in loan transactions, foreclosures, workouts, and all types of bankruptcy proceedings.

George represents clients extensively in the estate planning and probate areas, including drafting wills, trusts, and related documentation and represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in probate court proceedings.

His litigation practice includes business litigation, commercial law, and other civil matters.  These cases include complex securities and commercial cases as well as claims involving contracts and torts. He has also appeared in cases before various state agencies as well as the United States Tax Court.

George represents all types of business entities with respect to their formation, operation, and liquidation.  In addition, he represents clients with respect to real estate sale and acquisition transactions, leases, easements, liens, and title matters.

George has spoken to various groups on estate planning and probate matters, including at MVP Law annual seminars. He has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® in Banking and Finance since 2013.
