Piper J. Christenson
Piper Christenson is an associate in the Kansas City office, representing employers and insurers in workers’ compensation cases in Missouri. She joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2025, after earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.While at UMKC Law, Piper was a board member of the Military Veterans Law Association, which was dedicated to the legal issues surrounding America’s veterans and providing support for the veterans pursuing their law degrees. Piper was also a board member of the Oliver Club, which focused on the mental health of the law school community, providing mental health services and seminars. She served as a Student Emissary to prospective law students, was a UMKC Law Review Staff Member, and was a member of the Mock Trial Team for which she was awarded membership to The Order of Barristers. Piper also competed on the law school’s negotiation team at the Wayne State Invitational, volunteered in the UMKC Law Low Income Tax Clinic, and earned a CALI Award for Criminal Trial Techniques.
In her free time, she enjoys reading fantasy novels and spending time with her family, especially my nieces and nephew. She is an avid wakeboarder and snowboarder, and a huge fan of Iowa State athletics, particularly football and Men’s basketball. In March, you can find Piper attending the Men’s Big12 Basketball Tournament at the T-Mobile Center.
