Spencer S. Smith
Spencer Smith is an associate attorney with MVP Law. Prior to joining MVP Law, Spencer was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for five years. He gained jury trial experience both as a prosecutor and as a public defender. Spencer now exclusively practices workers’ compensation law, representing insurers and businesses in work-place injury disputes throughout Missouri.Spencer grew up in Springfield, Oregon and joined the US Navy after graduating high school. While in the Navy, he became a qualified submariner aboard the USS Alabama and deployed to Afghanistan as a member of a Provincial Reconstruction Team. After his military service, Spencer attended Portland State University and earned his undergraduate degree in Social Science. In 2017, Spencer graduated from Washburn University School of Law with his Juris Doctor. During law school, he worked as a legal intern for the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office, gaining substantial trial experience.
When not working, Spencer enjoys going to Kansas City Chief’s games, golfing, and spending time with his family.
