MVP Law is continuing to expand and welcomed four new associates to the firm. Kathryn Dumovich, Colin Lane, Stephanie Richards, and Gabrielle Stein clerked with MVP Law in the summer of 2022 and officially joined the firm as associate attorneys this fall.
Katie Dumovich earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and is currently licensed to practice in Missouri. She is located in the Kansas City office. Katie focuses her practice on labor and employment, public sector representation, and civil litigation. While at SLU Law, Katie was the Lead Managing Editor of the ABA Journal of Labor and Employment Law. She represented the journal at the 2022 ABA Labor and Employment Law Conference in Washington, D.C.. Katie is a devout Kansas State fan and when the Wildcats aren’t playing, can often be found at a Chiefs or Sporting KC game.
Colin Lane is an associate in the firm’s Des Moines office and is licensed to practice in Iowa. He focuses his practice on defending insurers, self-insured employers, and third party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. Colin earned his J.D. from Drake University School of Law. While at Drake, he served on the Junior Staff, and then as the Managing Editor, of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. Colin and his wife, Lauren, share a love of baseball and Taylor Swift and regularly debate which is more important to American culture.
Stephanie Richards focuses her practice on representing employers and insurance carriers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in Missouri. She is an associate in the St. Louis office of MVP Law. Stephanie earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, with a concentration in Employment Law. While in law school, she served as Staff Editor and then Editor-in-Chief of the ABA Journal of Employment Law. When not working, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, traveling to new places to run half marathons, and cheering on the Mizzou Tigers.
Gabby Stein is an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office representing employers and insurers in workers’ compensation cases across the state of Kansas. Gabby earned her J.D. from Washburn Law with Dean’s Honors and a Workplace Law Certificate. While in law school, Gabby served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Amy Hanley at the 7th Judicial District Court, Douglas County, Kansas. She also served as the Executive Editor of the Washburn Law Journal, Volume 62. Gabby lives in the Crossroads District of downtown KCMO where she loves trying new restaurants and exploring the city. She and her fiancé are avid K-State fans and enjoy cheering on the Wildcats.
