About Our Speakers
Steve McManus – MVP Law
Stephen McManus is a shareholder in the firm’s St. Louis office and has previously served on the MVP Law Board of Directors. Steve focuses his practice on representing self-insured employers, third-party administrators and insurance carriers in the defense of a worker’s compensation claims in Missouri and Illinois.
Steve handles catastrophic and complex workers’ compensation claims involving permanent total disability, Social Security disability offset, Medicare Set-Asides, medical bill liens and wage differential claims. He also specializes in toxic exposure claims in the workers’ compensation practice area.
Steve speaks regularly at the Missouri and Illinois Self-Insured Association conferences. He also speaks regularly at the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation Annual Conference as well as numerous local and regional seminars. Steve is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and the St. Louis Magazine’s Best Lawyers.
Steve has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Kids Chance of Missouri, Inc. since 2005. When not working or volunteering he enjoys mountain biking and gravel biking.
Scott Zehnder, MD – Motion Orthopedics
Dr. Zehnder is a dedicated and compassionate physician committed to delivering quality, patient-centered care. With over 14 years of private practice experience, Dr. Zehnder specializes in in Orthopaedic sports medicine, total joint replacements, Orthopaedic trauma and traumatic injuries. Dr. Zehnder is in private practice at Motion Orthopaedics, performing surgeries at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, Emmerson Road Surgery Center and Orthopedic Surgery Center of Creve Coeur.
Dr. Zehnder is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2012. He attended medical school and completed residency at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is affiliated with American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthrocopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine and Missouri Shoulder and Elbow Society, where remains actively involved in continuing his medical education to stay at the forefront of medical advancement and best practices.
Known for a calm, attentive approach, Dr. Zehnder prioritizes building strong relationships with his patients ensuring they feel heard, informed and empowered in their healthcare decisions. Outside of his practice he enjoys playing hockey, coaching his three boys in ice hockey and lacrosse, and spending time with family and friends.
