MVP Law announces four new associates, Alizabeth Adams, Olivia Banes, Carter Jensen and Rashad Kirksey. All four associates clerked with MVP Law in the summer of 2023 and we are excited to welcome them to the firm as attorneys.
Alizabeth “Lizzy” Adams is an associate in the firm’s Des Moines office. Lizzy’s practice is focused on workers’ compensation defense in Iowa. Lizzy earned multiple awards and recognitions during her time at Drake University, ultimately earning both her J.D. and her M.B.A. upon her graduation in 2024. Outside of fulfilling her legal dreams, Lizzy spends her most of her free time with her fiancé, Kevin, and their two puppy children, Molly and Lulu.
Olivia Banes joins the firm’s Kansas City office as a workers’ compensation associate. Olivia represents employers and insurers across Kansas and earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Law. At UMKC Law, she served as a staff member of the UMKC Law Review and earned the CALI Award for Excellence in International Human Rights. In her free time, Olivia enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their rescue dog, Ellie.
Carter Jensen is a workers’ compensation associate representing clients in Missouri and practicing out of the firm’s St. Louis office. Carter earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law where he was a member of the BLSA Trial Team who finished in the top eight teams at the national level. He is an avid sports fan, particularly of rugby union, which he played in his home country of Australia and has now resumed playing with the St. Louis Hornets.
Rashad Kirksey joins the St. Louis office and is a member of the civil litigation and insurance defense practice group where he represents clients across Missouri. Rashad earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2024. While in law school, Rashad earned the CALI Award for Excellence in Lawyering and participated in several mock trial competitions. Outside of practicing law, Rashad enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, fine arts, volunteering to help those less fortunate, and reading.
