MVP Law Welcomes 5 Lateral Attorneys

MVP Law is thrilled to announce the addition of five lateral attorneys to the firm over the past few months. Jessica Voelker, Michael Mayes, Martha Ravenhill, Dakkota Huber and Spencer Smith bring with them a combined seventy-eight years of legal experience to the firm.

Jessica Voelker joins MVP Law in the Omaha area, bringing with her twenty-five years of experience – most of which is in workers’ compensation defense and subrogation. She represents employers and insurance carriers in both Nebraska and Iowa in workers’ compensation matters. Jessica earned her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law.

Michael Mayes joins the MVP Law team in Springfield, MO and brings over thirty-fours years of experience in workers’ compensation defense and civil litigation defense. Mike focuses his practice at MVP Law on defending employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters across the state of Missouri. He earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.

Martha Ravenhill is the newest member of the MVP Law civil litigation and insurance defense group. She is a fifth-generation attorney and has over nine years of experience in general liability defense and served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office for over two years. Martha is located in the St. Louis area and is licensed to serve clients in Illinois and Missouri. She earned her J.D. from DePaul University.

Dakkota Huber previously worked at MVP Law as a file clerk during her undergraduate degree, and we are glad to have her back as a workers’ compensation defense attorney. She worked serving Clay County and Jackson County for five years prior to joining MVP Law in the kansas City office. Dakkota earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law and serves clients across Kansas and Missouri.

Spencer Smith is an associate attorney in the workers’ compensation practice group, currently residing in the Columbia area. Spencer gained five years of experience as a criminal defense attorney before joining MVP, earning valuable jury trial experience. His practice now focuses on workers’ compensation defense in Missouri. He earned his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law.
